The riots have taken over Paris, and Marius has gotten into trouble. Valjean has decided to save the kid‘s life – and by doing so, he is ready to risk his own life. But saving Marius is not the only crucial thing happening right now. Valjean is about to meet someone who he has been running away from for years – the inspector Javert. Victor Hugo’s ‘Les Misérables’ is one of the most significant European novels. It takes place in the early 1800’s France, and it follows the tragic paths of multiple characters. ‘Les Misérables’ has been filmed into a movie numerous times. In 2012 Tom Hooper directed a movie starring Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe and Anne Hathaway.
