The Masque of the Red Death

The story is said in the most enthralling manner that it makes it very interesting as well as introspective. Even though it appears to be very literal but the crux of the matter is all about the inevitability of death. The prince thought that with his power and position he could defy the plague that caused death in his kingdom. But eventually even he is not spared because on the figurative level it is not a plague but death itself, that does not spare anyone. Prince Prospero's intentions and preparations did not stand a chance when death decided to take him on.
